August - No Meeting
September 23rd - Show and Tell. Bring your artefacts (these may be archaeological or geological finds, or pictures of interesting finds, places etc.).
October 28th - 'The Reeve's Tale' a talk by Hugh Granger. This is about a year in the life of a typical village in 1450, told through the eyes of the
village reeve, who at that time was the link between the Norman Squire and the Anglo-Saxon villagers, much of it based on the unusually complete
records of Haddenham. Hugh will bring some samples of pottery from the period excavated in Brill.
November 25th - Oxford buildings and the Thames, a continuation of last year's interesting talk by Sue Oswell.
January 27th - 'Trilobites', a talk by John Perkin. If there is time John will also give presentations on 'Kent Coal' and 'Oxford Ironstone', otherwise
these will be given at a later date. We hope to have a short AGM after John's talk.
February 24th - 'Crossrail Archaeology' - a talk by guest speaker Colin Oakes on the artefacts found during excavation of Crossrail.
